You can use our search function to find textbooks or any other books by ISBN, Title, Author or Keywords. Please note DavesCampus.com does not directly buy or sell any books. We are happy to provide a way for you to find the best deals on the internet.
An ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is a unique number which identifies a specific book, something like a fingerprint - no two books can have the same ISBN if just one criteria is different, such as the title, author, edition, binding, etc. For that reason, if you need a particular book, searching by the ISBN is the most effective way to find it. Generally it can be found on the back cover. It looks something like this:
 ISBN numbers used to be 10 digits but all new numbers are now 13 digits. Dave's Campus allows you to search by either. Sometimes a merchant may actually have a book for sale but it will not show up in a search because they have it listed by ten digits instead of thirteen, or vice versa. If you suspect that is the case you may use this free convertor for any ISBN number.
So what if you don't have the ISBN number? No problem, you can also search by Title or Author or Keywords, or any combination. A search by Title allows you to see books which, although not the exact ISBN, are essentially the same or very similar. For example, the one in the college bookstore is a hardcover while you just found one online in paperback for half the price. If the content is the same, you may decide that is the one to buy. Likewise, International Editions may have identical content (but because it is a different edition it has a different ISBN).
Search by Author allows you to narrow your search to find a book by your favorite author or one recommended to you. In addition, in the Books List (search result) you can always click the author name to find more books available that they have authored.
The most general type of search is by Keyword. This is valuable if you do not have an ISBN or a particular title or author name, or if you simply want to browse what is available.
